RACS Volunteer In-country RACS Volunteer with Local 
Trainees

The foundation of the RACS International Development Program is the team of dedicated medical and surgical volunteers who donate their time and services to perform life changing operations.

If you are interested in volunteering with any of the College's International Development Programs, please contact us.

Here are some of the stories from Fellows who have participated in the RACS International Development Program and worked with their local counterparts to improve the health services in the Asia Pacific region.

    15 March, 2002 – 30 June, 2003                                              

    "On the 20 May, 2002 the world's newest nation was born…East Timor.  But they have certainly not been born with the silver spoon".  (more)

    ENT Surgeon, Specialist Visit

    22 October – 1 November, 2002

    "This was to be my first visit to the Solomon Islands since the armed uprising and I anticipated finding a gross deterioration in the country generally and the Hospital service especially".  (more)
