The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons provides this website as a source of information on the College, its activities, history and processes.

• Information on this website site is written by College staff with expert knowledge of the specific area, with Fellows and Trainees also contributing.
• All content is approved either by a director or by Council, as appropriate, before becoming available online.
• Editors seek to provide information in the clearest possible way.

The College aims to make its processes directly transparent both through the website and associated publications, reproduced on or linked to the website. The Policies and Position papers of the College are available for viewing. All of these documents have an inbuilt date for review.

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons is a non-profit organisation funded through member subscriptions. This website does not accept advertising, apart from surgical positions which are placed in the Positions vacant section. The website disclaimer and privacy policy and policy on advertising (PDF) are available. Any training or professional development courses which are sponsored will carry a sponsor logo.

The College does not provide medical advice. Information about surgical procedures is available only through the Australian Safety and Efficacy Register of New Procedures – Surgical (ASERNIP-S) area.
