Board of BST

The College operates a program to train doctors in the understanding of basic sciences relevant to the practice of surgery, clinical application and acquisition of appropriate basic technical skills and appropriate interpersonal and communication skills. The Board of Basic Surgical Training oversees the Training Program. The Board develops policies and processes relating to selection, clinical supervision, progression and assessment of trainees. The Board is responsible for the development and maintenance of a curriculum and examinations. The Board is responsible to Council via the Education Board.
