Fellowship SurveyIt is important that the views of our Fellows are regularly gauged to ensure that the College’s activities continue to meet the needs of Fellows, and that these activities represent value for money. Fellows’ feedback is essential to the College’s strategic planning. This contributes to the ongoing success of our organisation, both now and in the future. In October 2005, Council agreed to conduct a survey of the Fellowship, in order to identify strengths and areas for improvement for the College. The survey was developed in collaboration with Councillors, Regional Committee Chairs and Directors. All active and retired Fellows received a hard copy of the Survey Proforma in July 2006, and a reminder was sent to all active Fellows in September 2006. There was no personal follow up for those who chose not to respond. The survey was available in both hard copy and online formats. The response rate to the survey was surprisingly high, with the majority of Fellows (59%) responding. Importantly, participants comprised a representative sample of the broader Fellowship in terms of specialties, regions, age and gender. Active Fellows comprised 3088 of the respondents while 255 were retired. The results of the Fellowship Survey will be instrumental in strategic planning for 2008 and beyond, to ensure our services, communication and programs meet the needs and expectations of Fellows. Thank you for your contribution to the Fellowship Survey, and we look forward to future progress based upon your responses.
