Digital Imaging RACS Working Party

The College has established a Digital Imaging RACS Working Party (DIRWP) to develop and review guidelines for the transition to digital imaging and advise Australian governments, providers, clinicians, hospitals and funding authorities on current and progressive minimum standards for diagnostic imaging with a patient care focus.

The Chair of the Digital Imaging RACS Working Party is Dr Bernie Bourke, FRACS.  Membership of the Working Party is composed of representatives from the Australian Diagnostic Imaging Association, the Australian Medical Association, the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Australian Private Hospitals Association, the Divisional Group of Rural Surgery, Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and the Spine Society of Australia.
