What is ASERNIP-S?
The Australian Safety and Efficacy Register of New Interventional
Procedures - Surgical (ASERNIP-S) is a program of the Royal Australasian
College of Surgeons and a member of the International Network of
Agencies for Health Technology Assessment (INAHTA), which promotes
collaboration among HTA agencies.
ASERNIP-S assesses new and emerging surgical technologies and
techniques. We conduct systematic reviews of the peer-reviewed
literature, facilitate clinical audits or studies, identify new and
emerging techniques by horizon scanning, and provide input into clinical
practice guidelines. Click
here to find out more about ASERNIP-S.
We aim to improve the quality of healthcare through the
wide distribution of our evidence-based research to surgeons,
healthcare providers and consumers, both nationally and internationally.
Evidence means the published studies included in the review.
