Dr Denise O'Connor

Dr O’Connor is a Senior Research Fellow with the Australasian Cochrane Centre, Monash Institute of Health Services Research, Monash University.  Her primary role at the Centre is to project manage the ALIGN trial, an NHMRC-funded cluster randomised controlled trial testing the effectiveness of a targeted implementation strategy to increase use of evidence-based guidelines in allied health.  Dr O’Connor is also an educator in Cochrane systematic review methodology and investigator on other research projects coordinated by the Centre, including a two randomised controlled trials in primary care.  She is an editor with the Cochrane Neuromuscular Disease Review Group and author of several Cochrane systematic reviews. Her research and teaching expertise include knowledge translation (implementation science), systematic review methodology, evidence-based practice, qualitative research methods and measurement of health outcomes.
