Mission statement

The ASERNIP-S mission is to provide quality and timely assessments of new and emerging surgical technologies and techniques. Services provided include:

• full and rapid systematic reviews, and technology overviews of the peer-reviewed literature
• the establishment and facilitation of clinical and research audits or studies
• the assessment of new and emerging techniques and technologies by horizon scanning
• input into the production of clinical practice guidelines.

Our ultimate aim is to improve the quality of healthcare through the wide dissemination of our evidence-based research to surgeons, healthcare providers and consumers, both nationally and internationally.

The information provided on the ASERNIP-S website is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his/her physician.

This site does not host or receive funding from advertising.

	ASERNIP-S is a member of the International Network of Agencies for Health Technology Assessment (INAHTA) that promotes and facilitates information exchange and collaboration among HTA agencies.
