The College is affiliated with a number of other Colleges and organisations either as conjoint committees or collaborative organisations.  These include -

The Australian Day Surgery Council (ADSC)

  • Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)
  • Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA)
  • Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA)

The Australian Day Surgery Council is a multi-disciplinary body promoting and advising on all aspects of day surgery in Australia.


Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Peripheral Endovascular Therapy (CCRTPET)

  • Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)
  • Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)
  • Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR)

The parent bodies have delegated to the Conjoint Committee powers to formulate training guidelines in Peripheral Endovascular Therapy (PET) and to assess the training of persons seeking recognition of their training in this area.


Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE)

  • Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)
  • Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA)
  • Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)

The Conjoint Committee recognises training of endoscopists who have completed their training in Australia or who are now practising in Australia.


Faculty of Pain Medicine
 (FPM)

  • Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)
  • Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA)
  • Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)
  • Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
  • Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (RACP) (AFRM RACP)

The Faculty of Pain Medicine is the body responsible for training, education and standards for Pain Medicine in Australia and New Zealand.  The Faculty offers a Fellowship in Pain Medicine, which is available to all Fellows of RACS.
