To all those who were successfully selected into Surgical
Education and Training (SET) with the Royal Australasian College of
Surgeons (RACS), we say congratulations!
Surgical Training is a challenging and rewarding time. The
SET program is highly regarded internationally, and continues to
improve and evolve each year. To ensure the new Trainees are able
to enter into SET will the minimum of confusion, the RACS
Trainees' Association (RACSTA) is delighted to invite you to their
annual Conference for New Trainees!
This Conference will be held at RACS Headquarters in Melbourne,
on Saturday 26 November 2016, and it has been specifically designed
to meet the needs of newly selected SET Trainees. The Conference
will feature orientation by College staff, Fellows, and Senior
Trainees and will allow for plenty of time to meet and socialise
with your new colleagues. Sessions will provide practical tips and
tricks for the new Trainee. Critical areas covered include
professional skills, feedback, and mentorship. New Trainees will
leave this Conference equipped with the knowledge and confidence to
succeed in Surgical Training.
We hope you, as a new Trainee, will consider joining RACSTA in
Melbourne to get your training off to a great start!
