Eligibility
It is important to note that ASSET course is not a
mandatory eligibility requirement for selection to
the SET program, but is required to be undertaken in SET1.
Preference for courses is given to surgical trainees, followed by
the ASSET waiting list in order of date of application.
Please note to apply to the ASSET waiting list you must be a
medical graduate. Places will only be offered to doctors
post-graduate year 2+.

To register onto the waiting list for Australian courses, please

Generally, applicants will wait approximately 2.5 to 3 years to
be offered a course place. Throughout the year, some course places
may become vacanct and applicants on the waiting list (in
accordance with their original date of application and
post-graduate year 2+) will be contacted by the Skills Training
Office and offered these course places.
You will receive an email of confirmation within 5 days of
registering.

To register onto the waiting list for New Zealand courses,
please click here.
Course places are limited. Generally, applicants will wait
approximately 2.5 to 3 years to be offered a course place.
