The Find a Surgeon directory is a listing of active Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons who meet the requirements of the College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and have opted to be on the list. This list excludes retired or inactive Fellows.

 

Surgeon Scientist Scholarship

** Please note that this award has not been offered for 2018. This will be reviewed for 2019.

The Surgeon Scientist Scholarship was instituted by RACS to make a combined PhD/FRACS program an attractive option for Surgical Trainees.

RACS Fellows and SET Trainees

Conditions

Applicants must be enrolled in or intending to enrol in a PhD.

Value

$77,000 ($65,000 stipend plus $12,000 departmental maintenance) per annum; research departments will be expected to provide 25% of the funding per annum.

Tenure

Up to 3 years. Continuation each year is dependent upon satisfactory progress.
