In addition to the stated research requirements one presentation
or publication must be completed during the course of current
surgical training.
The Board agreed that the research requirement would be counted
if a trainee had completed a higher degree and had published in a
referred journal in a medical field prior to commencing vascular
training.
These revised research requirements would take effect in 2010
and trainees would be required to complete all requirements prior
to application for the Fellowship examination.
