Preparing for the clinical/viva components
Venues
The clinical/viva component of the exam is held over a weekend, from Friday to Sunday in Australia and from Friday to Saturday in New Zealand. Due to the current COVID-19 situation the clinical segments may use videos are/or patients. Viva segments are computer based which often use computer images.
The segments are scheduled across the weekend and may be held in different geographical locations, but the timetable will be constructed to ensure candidates have ample time to travel between locations should more than one be used on the same day.
Timetables
Candidates will receive email notification of provisional venues approximately eight weeks prior to the clinical/vivas to assist with planning accommodation if necessary.
They will then receive their examination timetable approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the examination, along with maps of each venue.
