Voting for election to RACS Council will open on Friday 20 September 2019 and will close on Monday 7 October 2019.

RACS Fellows will receive an email that includes a voting link. All Fellows are strongly encouraged to vote.

RACS Council is the governing body of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Council meets three times a year at the end of February, June and October. In addition, Councillors are expected to be members of Council committees and working parties, and to fulfil any committee role conferred on them by Council.

Council embraces and encourages broad diversity of membership. Amongst other diversity, Council should comprise a mix of Fellows from public, private and academic practice.

Diversity/skills gaps on Council include Fellows with Indigenous connections and those with wider governance experience.

Currently there is no elected Councillor from Tasmania.
