Assoc Prof Laurence Harewood
Associate Professor Laurence Harewood has over 40 years experience in Urology. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Urology Department of the Department of Surgery, University of Melbourne. He is the Director of the Urorenal and Vascular Clinical Institute of Epworth Health Care. He practices general urology including Cancers of the Kidney and Prostate, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia treatment, Kidney stone disease and diseases of the genitalia. He has a special interest in the management of early stage Prostate Cancer, and has a particular expertise and experience in Robotic Surgery. He carries out Robotic Radical Prostatectomy for Prostate Cancer, Robotic Partial Nephrectomy and Robotic Radical Nephrectomy for Cancer of the Kidney. He is currently pioneering NanoKnife Irreversible Electroporation (IRE) as a focal therapy for Prostate Cancer.
