Who can apply?
Affiliation with a University Academic Department of Surgery or Hospital Department of Surgery within Australia or New Zealand needs to be provided confirming the institution's support for the applicant in the proposed Senior Lecturer position.
The emphasis of the Fellowship is to be focused on research and/or educational activities. Preference will be given to candidates who have attained or are seeking to attain a higher degree (eg PhD or Master's) however this is not essential.

The Fellowship is valued at $132,000 per annum. RACS will fund $66,000 and the applicant's institution will be expected to co-fund to the same amount each year ($66,000).
Two years, with continuation subject to satisfactory performance.
