RACS Visitor Grant Program
RACS is committed to excellence in surgical education and practice and recognised that Fellows within sub-specialties and other groups wish to enhance their annual scientific meetings by inviting scientific visitors of note, from Australia, New Zealand and internationally. RACS will support these initiatives through the RACS Visitor Grant Program.
Groups are invited to apply for funding towards the cost of travel, accommodation and registration for their 2023 visitor(s). Applications are open to any recognised society or association of surgeons.
What if our visitor cannot attend in person because of COVID-19 restrictions?
As it stands, the funding allocation can only be used to cover the flights, accommodation and registration of in-person overseas visitors – and cannot be used to cover the costs of virtual conferencing platforms and other costs. This is in accordance of the RACS Visitor Grant Program (For Non-RACS Meetings) policy.
Applications for meetings in 2023
Applications for meetings in 2023 will be accepted between Friday 1 April and Friday 27th May 2022. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications by late July 2022.
You can fill out an application form here.
If you have any difficulties with the form, please contact the Secretariat: Molly.Mckew@surgeons.org
We recommend that you study the Selection Criteria (item 3.3, RACS Visitor Grant Program (For Non-RACS Meetings) Policy (PDF 122.06KB)) and focus on addressing them in your application.
What if our visitor will not be confirmed prior to the closing date?
