COVID-19 Update - 2022 Global Health scholarships and grants
Unfortunately, given the continued challenges of COVID-19, applications to Global Health scholarships and grants have been paused for 2022 activity.
We recognise there is a shortage of trained and skilled local surgical specialists in many developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This shortage severely reduces these countries' capacity to deliver surgical and medical care to their populations.
The overarching goal of the program is to improve the health outcomes for disadvantaged communities in the region, by providing training opportunities to promising individuals who will contribute to the long-term development of surgical and medical capacity in their country.
Scholarships and grants are available for application each August through the learning and development round of the RACS Scholarships and Grants Program.
As the availability of each scholarship and grant is determined year-to-year, please check back on this page mid-year to view the Global Health scholarships and grants on offer in August 2021.
Please visit the Scholarships and Grants Program page for further information on Global Health scholarships and grants and other opportunities available through the program.
