The Post Fellowship Education and Training Committee (PFETC) was established in February 2009 to consider the approval and co-badging education and training programs in sub-specialties of the nine specialties.
The PFET Committee is responsible for the accreditation of post-Fellowship training which leads to the awarding of a College endorsed qualification. Post Fellowship Programs that meet the College's prescribed criteria for recognition are administered by external Specialty Societies and Associations.
This process applies only to those Societies that seek College accreditation, and does not preclude Specialty Societies from independently approving other programs. The assessment of proposed PFET programs is conducted in accordance with the Guidelines for Approval of Post Fellowship Education and Training Programs policy. The PFET Committee reports to the Education Board and is governed by the PFET Committee Terms of Reference (PDF 37.13KB).
