The responsibility of the administration of the General Surgery Surgical Education and Training (SET) program of RACS has been delegated to General Surgeons Australia (GSA).

Past offers

In 2015 sixty-nine (69)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2016.
In 2016 eighty-one (81)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2017.
In 2017 eighty-five (85)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2018.
In 2018 one hundred and twenty (120)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2019.
In 2019 one hundred and five (105)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2020.
In 2020 eight eight (88)* trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2021.
In 2021 eighty three (83)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2022.
