General Surgery - New Zealand

The responsibility of the administration of the General Surgery Surgical Education and Training (SET) program of RACS has been delegated to the New Zealand Association of General Surgeons (NZAGS).

Past offers

In 2015 eleven (11)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2016
In 2016 eighteen (18)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2017
In 2017 fifteen (15)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2018
In 2018 eleven (11)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2019
In 2019 nineteen (19)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2020
In 2020 twenty (20)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2021
In 2021 seventeen (17)* Trainees were appointed into the SET Program to commence in 2022
