The Find a Surgeon directory is a listing of active Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons who meet the requirements of the College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and have opted to be on the list. This list excludes retired or inactive Fellows.

Which pathway am I eligible for in Australia?

To help you decide which pathway may be relevant, an initial self-assessment check and overview of the specialist pathways is provided as a guide.

The self-assessment flowchart will assist you to determine which pathway to apply for as an IMG wishing to practice surgery in Australia.

Which pathway am I eligible for in New Zealand?

If you intend to practice as a specialist surgeon in New Zealand long term the Vocational Pathway may be appropriate for you. The Special Purpose Pathway may suit you if you intend to practice medicine for a short or fixed-term. 

The Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) has a self-assessment tool on its website to help you determine which pathway to registration you may be eligible for.
