Description

CCrISP® teaches doctors to adopt a structured and comprehensive approach to managing surgical patients, to recognise the deteriorating patient and determine which patients are most at risk.

The CCrISP® course:

  • runs over three days
  • is conducted for 16 participants
  • is taught by a multidisciplinary faculty of 10 specialists (volunteers)
  • is highly interactive and includes skills stations and clinical scenarios
  • is assessed (successful completion required to achieve certification).
  • By completing this course, you will be able to:
  • adopt a structured, comprehensive approach to managing surgical patients
  • judge which patients are at most risk and plan to reduce their risk of adverse outcomes
  • recognise the deteriorating patient and intervene to correct the problem
  • acknowledge the importance of communication in managing surgical patients.

Target audience

All doctors that care for critically unwell patients, post graduate year 3 or more.
