Preparation for Practice workshops – Get set for a profitable future
From the practice structure you choose, to tax, insurance, superannuation, investing and personal finance - all the critical considerations for starting out in private practice are discussed in the Preparation for Practice workshops, launched by RACS and drawing on the expertise of accounting and financial advisory group, the Bongiorno National Network.
For many years, the Bongiorno National Network has been proud to be associated with the Preparation for Practice workshops, providing financial and wealth management advice to new Fellows who are setting up in private practice.
Topics covered over the two-day workshop by the Bongiorno National Network team include the absolute importance of choosing the right structure when setting up in private practice with the ‘Financial Independence for Surgeons’ session stepping specialists through the pros and cons of each structure available as well as their tax and GST obligations.
At the Melbourne workshop, held on 17 and 18 August, Bongiorno Group Directors Michael Waycott, Jim Tsirtsakis and Sarah Thorburn will also be discussing maximising earnings while in private practice, business management and the importance of surgeons protecting their financial position at all times.
