RACS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander SET Trainee One Year Scholarship

**Please note that this scholarship is not yet open. It may open at a later date in 2019 for taking up in 2020**


Indigenous Motif Opt

This scholarship was established by the Indigenous Health Committee to support Trainees who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Who can apply

RACS Trainees who identify as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

SET applicants are eligible to apply in anticipation of their acceptance into the SET Program. They must be accepted into the program prior to the commencement of the scholarship.


To be eligible for the Scholarship an applicant needs to be a member of or fulfil the eligibility requirements for membership of the Australian Indigenous Doctor's Association (AIDA). Details can be found on the AIDA Membership eligibility website.

This Scholarship could be used to cover one or more of the following:

  • SET registration fees
  • SET course fees
  • SET examination fees
  • Research projects
  • Mentoring Programs
  • Travel, accommodation and registration fees to attend conferences
  • Other relevant professional development activities
