The Find a Surgeon directory is a listing of active Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons who meet the requirements of the College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and have opted to be on the list. This list excludes retired or inactive Fellows.

 

WG Norman Research Scholarship 2019

The WG Norman Research Scholarship arose from a bequest from the late Dr W G Norman of Adelaide. This South Australian award was established to fund advances in surgery on injuries occasioned by any form of accident or trauma to young persons. The Scholarship has since been broadened to encompass any research with a trauma focus.

Who can apply?

RACS Fellows and SET Trainees. SET applicants are also eligible to apply for a scholarship in anticipation of their acceptance into the SET Program. They must be accepted into the program prior to the commencement of the scholarship in order to take up the award.

Conditions

Applicants must be resident in South Australia and enrolled in or intending to enrol in a higher degree. The research must be based in South Australia and the topic should preferably have a trauma focus.

Value

$66,000 ($60,000 stipend plus $6,000 departmental maintenance) per annum; research departments will be expected to provide 25% of the funding per annum.
