The Find a Surgeon directory is a listing of active Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons who meet the requirements of the College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and have opted to be on the list. This list excludes retired or inactive Fellows.


WG Norman Research Scholarship

** Please note that this award has not been offered for 2018. This will be reviewed for 2019.

The WG Norman Research Scholarship arose from a bequest from the late Dr W G Norman of Adelaide. This South Australian award was established to fund advances in surgery on injuries occasioned by any form of accident or trauma to young persons. The Scholarship has since been broadened to encompass any research with a trauma focus.

Who can apply

RACS Fellows and SET Trainees


Applicants must be resident in South Australia and enrolled in, or intending to enrol in, a higher degree. The research must be based in South Australia and the topic should preferably have a trauma focus.

$66,000 ($60,000 stipend plus $6,000 departmental maintenance) per annum; research departments will be expected to provide 25% of the funding per annum.
