The Find a Surgeon directory is a listing of active Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons who meet the requirements of the College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and have opted to be on the list. This list excludes retired or inactive Fellows.

 

TraumaThe RACS Road Trauma Committee was established in 1970 and trauma has been promoted through advocacy, education and research.

In the 1970s and 1980s the focus was on road safety including:

  • seat belt wearing,
  • the 0.5 campaign,
  • helmets for bicycle and motorbike riders,
  • child restraints and
  • zero alcohol levels for Learner and P Plate drivers.

In 1993 The Road Trauma Committee became the Trauma Committee, considering all types of Trauma and increasing community awareness of trauma issues.
