Dr Adam Pearce

Overview

Dr Pearce began practice in 2019 after completing a uro-oncology fellowship at the Royal Marsden hospital in London. He holds specialist positions at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Wesley Private Hospital. In addition to his experience treating a wide range of common urological conditions, he undertakes a high volume of advanced kidney and retro-peritoneal surgery including caval thrombus and RPLND. He has a network of highly skilled surgical colleagues who he collaborates with where necessary for complex procedures and has access to a broad range of imaging and therapeutic technology.

Dr Pearce has acted as director for the urology department at RBWH and supervises registrars on the urology training program and junior doctors. He has chaired sessions at international conferences and is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland.

After he completed his urology training, Dr Pearce was awarded an Australasian Urological Foundation Grant to undertake a sought after two-year sub-speciality fellowship in London. He broadened his surgical skills at the renal surgery and transplant unit at the Royal Free Hospital, then at the Royal Marsden Hospital. The world-renowned RMH is a centre for excellence in cancer care and a global leader for pioneering research and novel technologies. It is also the UK’s largest centre for major surgery for advanced kidney and testicular cancers and embraces the use of minimally invasive surgery and enhanced recovery after surgery.

While in London, Dr Pearce learned from some of the most highly regarded surgeons in the world and performed a large volume of complex operations. He is now able to use his training for the benefit of patients in Australia.
