Associate Professor Laurence Gluch

Overview

I am a Breast and Thyroid Surgeon operating at the Strathfield Private and Concord Hospitals.  I consult at the Strathfield Breast Centre where a comprehensive clinic offers imaging and biopsy services, and where a multidisciplinary team of breast specialists offers a one-stop pathway for the management of breast cancer.  As an Oncoplastic breast surgeon I am able to offer breast cancer patients the full spectrum of surgical options from breast conservation to skin and nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.

The second part of my practice encompasses all aspects of thyroid and parathyroid surgery, including comprehensive neck dissections for more advanced presentations of thyroid cancer.

I gained my undergraduate qualifications from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, and my specialist surgical training at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.  I also hold a Ph.D from the University of Sydney for my research into the use of Magnetic Resonance to diagnose Breast Cancer.
