Overview

I have a specialist vascular surgical private practice in Melbourne, Australia. I approach each patient from a whole of person viewpoint as seen through the filter of my extensive surgical training and experience. Surgery is to me an assesment and management philosophy and then a potential procedure or operation.

The practice emphasises minimally invasive endovascular arterial (angiography, angioplasty, stents) and rooms-based endovenous (laser varicose vein treatment, US-guided sclerotherapy, sclerotherapy) treatments.

Arterial surgery is commonly performed even though endovascular solutions are sought. Varicose veins surgery is available though not often required. All operations and endovascular procedures occur at Epworth Hospital, Richmond. Selected medical and surgical colleagues may attend the patient by my referral. Detailed correspondence and written patient advice are routinely provided. Patient gap costs are moderate for most procedures. Bulkbilling is not routine. Hardship cases may be seen if requested by referring doctors.

Lower limb ulcers may be referred for assessment and management.

Conditions currently not treated by this clinic: thoracic and thoraco-abdominal aneurysm, first rib syndrome, renal transplantation, vascular access, temporal artery biopsy, popliteal artery entrapment syndrome.

I do not see WorkCover, TAC, or medico-legal cases except by prior arrangement and with a written authority. Email the office to enquire.

Social distancing, appointment spacing is in place. Email enquiries are preferred. Patient registration can be done electronically.

Vascular ultrasound (at Medicare rebate) can be arranged prior to or in tandem with a consultation.

Satellite appointments are available at Morrabbin on Wednesdays.
