Mr Christopher Que Hee

Overview

Dr Que Hee received his medical degree with honours from the University of Queensland in 1993. He then trained in various Brisbane Hospitals in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery, receiving his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the end of 2002.

In 2003, Chris was the Otology-Neurotology Fellow at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and The Royal Melbourne Hospital. The year was committed to surgery of the ear, cochlear implantation and neurotological surgery (acoustic neuroma surgery). Part of 2003 was also spent as a research fellow at the Bionic Ear institute, performing research on trauma to the cochlea (inner ear).

Since 2004, Chris has been in private practice in Brisbane. He is a past Chairman of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at The Mater Adults Hospital and a consultant at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the Cochlear Implant Clinics at the Mater Hospital, Queensland Children's Hospital, Neurosensory Unit and Hear and Say Centre.

Since 2019, Chris has been a member of the RACS Court of Examiners.

Dr Que Hee’s special interests within ENT surgery are ear surgery, cochlear implantation, implantable hearing devices and paediatric ENT surgery.
