  • Anwar and Myrtha Girgis SIMG Grant

    Dr Fernando Picazo Pineda Dr Fernando Picazo Pineda received the Anwar and Myrtha Girgis SIMG Grant and is using the grant to sit his FRACS exam. 
  • Aziz Hamza Rural Surgery Grant

    Dr Dr Yuchen Luo received the Aziz Hamza Rural Surgery Grant and is using the grant to undertake the Emergency Management of Severe Burns course in Hobart.
     
  • Bongiorno National Network Younger Fellows Travel Grant

    Dr Ruth Mitchell Dr Ruth Mitchell received the Bongiorno National Network Younger Fellows Travel Grant and is using the grant to undertake a Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Neurosurgery at British Columbia Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada.
     
  • Hugh Johnston Travel Grant

    Dr Dr David Coker received the Hugh Johnston Travel Grant and is using the grant for a Clinical Sarcoma Fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
    Dr Dr Connor O’Meara received the Hugh Johnston Travel Grant and is undertaking Head & Neck Cancer Robot/Reconstruction/MDT Observerships.
  • Indigenous Program - Annual Scientific Congress ASC Award

    Dr Smith Dr Mitchell Smith received the Annual Scientific Congress Award and attended the 2022 RACS Annual Scientific Congress.

    Dr Couch Dr Mikayla Couch received the Annual Scientific Congress Award and attended the 2022 RACS Annual Scientific Congress.
    Dr Paul Dr Claudia Paul received the Annual Scientific Congress Award and attended the 2022 RACS Annual Scientific Congress.
     
  • Indigenous Program - Career Enhancement Grant - Junior Doctor

    Dr Dr Cherrelle George received the Career Enhancement Grant - Junior Doctor and is using the grant for Paper Day NZOA, PRIDOC conference, ASC and surgical skills courses.
    Dr Dr Nathanael Leavy received the Career Enhancement Grant - Junior Doctor and is using the grant for GCSE study, JDOCS and RACS skills courses.  
    Dr Dr Nikki Burnett received the Career Enhancement Grant - Junior Doctor and used this to attend the 2022 RACS Annual Scientific Congress. 
    Dr Dr Reece Joseph received the Career Enhancement Grant - Junior Doctor and is using this to undertake his   Master of Health Science, Development of novel interventions for compound fractures at the University of Auckland.
  • Indigenous Program - Career Enhancement Grant - Medical Doctor

    Jesse Thompson Mr Jesse Thompson received the Career Enhancement Medical Students Grant and used the grant to attend the RACS 2022 Annual Scientific Congress. 
     
  • Indigenous Program - J and J MedTech SET Trainee One Year Scholarship

    Justin Cain Dr Justin Cain received the SET Trainee One Year Scholarship and is using the scholarship for his Vascular Surgery SET training at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
    Lincoln Nicholls Dr Lincoln Nicholls received the SET one Year Trainee Scholarship and is using this for He Wānanga Whakarite 2022, a course to support and prepare Māori for SET Interviews.
    Jamie-Lee Dr Jaime-Lee Rahiri received the SET Trainee One Year Scholarship and is using it towards Ngā Wāhine Matahaehae - the Surgical Sisterhood which is a project that seeks to empower wāhine   Māori and Pasifika who aspire to become surgeons.   
     
  • Medtronic Younger Fellows Travel Grant

    Dr Dr Varun Harish received the Medtronic Younger Fellows Travel Grant and is using this to undertake a Clinical Fellow in Burns Surgery at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland.           
    Dr Dr Yogeesan Sivakumaran received Medtronic Younger Fellows Travel Grant and is undertaking a Fellowship in Paediatric   Vascular Surgery at Perth Children’s Hospital.
  • Morgan Travel Fellowship Grant

    Dr Dr Andrew Gray received the Morgan Travel Fellowship Grant and is undertaking an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship in EUS and ERCP.          
    Dr Dr Kasmira Wilson received the Morgan Travel Fellowship Grant and is using this for a Colorectal Fellow at Auckland City Hospital.
  • Murray and Unity Pheils Colorectal Travel Grant

    Dr Dr Jonathan Chua received the Murray and Unity Pheils Colorectal Travel Grant and is undertaking a robotic pelvic floor and rectal cancer surgery Fellowship at the University Hospital of North Norway.
    Dr Dr Liesel Porrett received the Murray and Unity Pheils Colorectal Travel Grant and is using this for a Fellowship in Paediatric Surgery at Queensland Children's Hospital.
  • Pickard Robotic Training Grant

    Dr Tarik Sammour Dr Tarik Sammour received the Pickard Robotic Training Grant and is using it to establish a comprehensive Public Hospital Robotic Surgery Clinical Research Program at Royal Adelaide Hospital.
     
  • Queensland Younger Fellows Grant

    Dr Annelise Cocco Dr Annelise Cocco received the Queensland Younger Fellows Grant and is undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Bioethics at the University of Sydney.
     
  • Rural Junior Dr Surgical Skills Course Grant

    Dr Sarah Cowan Dr Sarah Cowan received the Rural Junior Doctor Surgical Skills Course Grant and is using it for the Australia and NZ Surgical Skills Education and Training (ASSET).
     
  • Rural Surgery Fellowship for Provincial Surgeons

    Dr Dr Emily Davenport received the Rural Surgery Fellowship for Provincial Surgeons and is using the grant for a secondment to Christchurch to learn lipofilling as adjunct to oncoplastic breast practice in a provincial setting.
    Dr Dr Jared White received the Rural Surgery Fellowship for Provincial Surgeons and is using the grant for a Urology-Oncology Fellowship in testicular cancer and robotic surgery at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
    Dr Dr Mohammed Khaleel received the Rural Surgery Fellowship for Provincial Surgeons and is using it to undertake a Master of Minimally Invasive Surgery in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery (MMIS) at Adelaide University and varied hospitals in South Australia.
     
  • Skills Training Faculty Grant

    Dr Bhavik Patel Dr Bhavik Patel received the Skills Training Faculty Grant and is using this for simulation-based training programmes for EMST/CCrISP participants.
     
  • Stuart Morson Neurosurgery Grant

    Dr Phoebe Matthews Dr Phoebe Matthews received the Stuart Morson Neurosurgery Grant and is undertaking a Fellowship in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery.
     
  • Younger Fellow Leadership Exchange Fellowship

    Dr Eugenia Ip Dr Eugenia Ip received the Younger Fellows Leadership Exchange Fellowship and is using the grant to attend the Association of Academic Surgery Conference held annually in the USA.
