eLearning

The eLearning approach

Our flexible eLearning framework recognises the needs of our geographically diverse membership, as well as the typically significant demands on your time. RACS’ eLearning platform is designed to encourage both individual and collaborative learning, providing expertise and guidance, technical support and access to valuable educational resources.

eLearning courses and resources

RACS has developed a range of online courses to support career progression and lifelong learning from prevocational doctor to Fellow, as well as specialist international medical graduates (SIMGs) who wish to practice in Australia. Covering a wide range of topics and fundamental non-technical skills, with adult learning principles at the forefront, these modules are a mix of self-directed and blended learning, with progress being saved to support, promote and facilitate learning opportunities in busy schedules and diverse locations. Topics include examination preparation, cultural safety, orientation for SIMGs, and training for examiners and supervisors, and have been aligned to the RACS ten competencies.

The RACS eLearning platform is accessible from a wide range of devices and browsers, and encourages both individual and collaborative learning, with many of the courses attracting CPD.

Your eLearning records, in one easy place

Your eLearning records are now in one place, in a new self-service platform on eHub. This platform provides access to current and past eLearning records from a single, centralised location.

Using the new eLearning Records platform, you can:

  • access current and historical eLearning records
  • view and download certificates for completed courses
  • view courses that are in progress or have not been started
  • access current courses within the eLearning platform.

How to access your eLearning records in two easy steps

  1. You need a RACS account to log into the platform, view your records and download certificates for completed courses.
  • Already have an account: Select the sign in button on the top right-hand corner of the screen on eHub or the College website, then enter your username and password. Remember: The username for active Fellows, Trainees, SIMGs and Junior Doctors always ends with "@my.surgeons.org". For others, it is your registered email address.
  • Don't have a RACS account? Sign up to get started.
  1. Once logged in, select the 'eLearning Records' link in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. This takes you to the eLearning Records dashboard, where you can see completion dates and status for all enrolled courses.

Note: We recommend using either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser to access the Learner Records Platform.

For further details on how to navigate through the eLearning Records platform, please refer to the eLearning Records frequently asked questions (PDF 686.83KB).
