Assoc Prof Payal Mukherjee
Overview
A. Prof Payal Mukherjee is an Adult and Paediatric ENT Surgeon with a special interest in hearing and balance disorders. Following her ENT training in Sydney, she compelted a Masters of Surgery at the University of Sydney and attained further subspecialty post fellowship training dedicated to Otology, Cochlear Implantation and Lateral Skull Base Surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London.
As well as treating general Adult and Paediatric ENT diseases such as glue ears, tonsillitis, adult and paediatric snoring, rhinosinusitis, her special interests include diseases affecting the hearing and balance such as Meniere's disease, Otosclerosis, Vestibular Schwannoma, Cochlear Implantation, Cholesteatoma and Chronic ear disease. She is also trained in middle ear endoscopy.
A.Prof Mukherjee is a Academic Surgeon. She is currently undertaking a PhD in disruptive technologies in ENT (such as AR, VR, 3D printing and bioprinting). Her other research interests include Cochlear Implantation, Meniere's Disease and Otosclerosis

- Dr Mukherjee is a member of the Australasian Society of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and is a committee member of the NSW regional committee of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
