Dr. Isolde Evelyn Hertess

 

BSc. (Melb Uni), MBBS. (Melb Uni), FRACS (Plastic and Reconstructive)

Dr. Hertess graduated from Melbourne University Medical School after first completing her Bachelor of Science degree at the same university.

After 8 years of surgical training in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane Dr. Hertess obtained her specialist qualification as a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Hertess established Cairns Plastic Surgery in 1994 and in  2019 relocated to the Gold Coast where she continues her full-time surgical practice that has been renamed to Dr. Hertess Plastic Surgery.

The practice office location is at 220 Ashmore Road, Benowa. Dr Hertess operates at Pacific Private Day Hospital, Miami Private Hospital and John Flynn Private Hospital.  

 

Dr. Hertess has active memberships with the following societies:

 

-       Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons

-       Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons

-       American Society of Plastic Surgeons

-       International Society of Plastic Surgeons.

 

Dr. Hertess performs all breast surgeries such as augmentation, breast implant revision including explant, breast reduction and combination augmentation and uplift.  She also performs abdominoplasty and some skin reduction surgery after weight loss.

Dr. Hertess has a keen interest in skin cancer surgery and medicine. She is currently enrolled in a Masters of Medicine degree in skin cancer at the University of Queensland as of 2022.

For over 20 years, Dr Isolde Hertess has applied a conservative approach to her plastic and reconstructive surgery work and is deeply passionate about helping improve the self-esteem of women of all ages, from all walks of life.

She values establishing open and honest lines of communication with her patients along with an individualized surgical plan for each patient based on their requirement or request.

In her personal life she has 3 adult children and continues an active interest in cycling.
