Associate Professor Leon Lai
Overview
Associate Professor Leon Lai MBBS PhD FRACS is a leading cerebrovascular and skullbase neurosurgeon specialising in the surgical treatment of brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, arteriovenous fistulas, cavernomas, brain revascularization, acoustic neuroma and pituitary tumours.
He is an academic Associate Professor at the Department of Surgery, Monash University. As a key neurosurgeon in one of the busiest cerebrovascular centres in Victoria, he has the most extensive surgical experience in brain aneurysm repair in Australasia.
He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and editorials on brain aneurysm and skull base surgery. He is actively involved in clinical and laboratory based researches and lectures regularly at national and international meetings. He is also a member of the SET Board of Neurosurgery that selects and trains future neurosurgeons in Australia and New Zealand.
