Mr Michael Worthington

Overview

Michael Worthington holds Specialist Qualifications in Cardiothoracic Surgery from both South Africa and Australia. He is trained and experienced in all aspects of Adult and Paediatric Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery as well as Transplantation. He provides a wide range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures and has special interests in:

        a) Cardiac Surgery:     Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Complex Valve Repair Surgery, Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, Aortic Surgery, Arrhythmia Surgery, Endoscopic Leg Vein Harvesting

        b) Thoracic Surgery:    Complex Lung Cancer Surgery,  Chest Wall Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery

He is the Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital running a busy Unit specialising in Complex Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgical Training and Research.
