Dr Nicholas Lee, MBBS, MS, FRACS, is a Canadian-Australian Trauma and General Surgeon, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Squadron Leader, and academic. He holds concurrent appointments as a Staff Specialist at John Hunter Hospital—a major tertiary referral and teaching facility in New South Wales—and as a Lecturer at the University of Newcastle School of Medicine and Public Health.

Descending from a multi-generational medical family, Dr Lee completed his undergraduate medical education at the University of New South Wales (MBBS). He pursued an advanced postgraduate degree at the University of Sydney, earning a Master of Surgery (MS) and receiving the prestigious Sydney Nade Prize for surgical anatomy. Following his attainment of Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery, he completed his specialized post-fellowship training in Trauma Surgery.
