Dr Vanitha Budhavaram

Overview

Dr Budhavaram (Bud) is an accomplished specialist breast and general surgeon. After completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Dr Bud undertook further training as part of a Master of Surgery (MS) after which she was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland. In 2011, she moved to Australia and pursued a fellowship in general surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).


Following this successful fellowship, Dr Bud underwent sub-specialty and accredited oncoplastic advanced breast surgery training under Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ) at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth. At the same time, she completed a master’s degree in breast surgery from the University of Sydney as part of an academic program in the management of breast cancers. She is a member of the Breast Cancer Trials Group (BCT) and the Australian Society of Breast Diseases (ASBD).


Dr Bud provides breast and general surgical services at Royal Perth Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital and St John of God Midland Hospital.
