Dr Yasser Khatib
Overview
I am an Australian educated and trained surgeon. I completed my medical degree from
the University of New South Wales in 2003. As a junior medical officer I broadened my
interest in musculoskeletal medicine by undertaking further post-graduate education and
completing a Master of Sports Medicine, UNSW 2008.
I completed rigorous training in orthopaedic surgery through the Royal Australasian
College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association in WA and NSW and was awarded fellowship of the college in 2011.
In 2012, I worked at Nepean public and private hospital as a generalist orthopaedic
surgeon with an interest in hip and knee arthroplasty. I also gained further
subspecialisation by completing a clinical fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty and
reconstructive surgery at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where I gained
