Dr Leonard Shan
Overview
Dr. Leonard Shan is an academic vascular surgeon, clinician-researcher, and senior lecturer in the Department of Surgery at The University of Melbourne. He received his medical education at The University of Melbourne where he graduated with honours. Following vascular surgical training at multiple centres in Melbourne and Auckland, he became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery. He currently practices at St. Vincent's and Epworth Hospitals in Melbourne.
Leonard's special interest is in patient-reported outcomes. Leonard's PhD on quality of life in lower extremity arterial disease was undertaken at The University of Melbourne under the tutelage of world-renowned surgeons Professor Alun Davies and Professor Peter Choong. Leonard currently sits on the editorial board of the Annals of Vascular Surgery and is a member of the Academy of Surgeons at St. Vincent's Hospital and Australian Cardiovascular Research Alliance.
