Dr Gareth Owen

Overview

Dr Owen is a fully trained Colorectal & General Surgeon specialising in minimally invasive management of colorectal conditions including robotic surgery.  Dr Owen completed his General Surgical training in NSW and then went through the CSSANZ Fellowship training program.  He spent time in both Hong Kong and Korea furthering his training.  Dr Owen has a special interest in Colorectal Cancer and also in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.  He works closely with the St Vincents IBD Multi-Disciplinary Team to optimize patient outcomes.  Dr Owen also have an interest in haemorrhoidal treatment and all aspects of investigation and management of rectal bleeding.  Dr Owen also has developed an interest in complex abdominal wall hernias, including biological mesh reconstructions of the abdominal wall.
