Become an ATLS® and/or CCrISP® nurse coordinator
The nurse coordinator role is an essential role for the successful delivery of both ATLS® and CCrISP® courses. Nurse coordinators work alongside the program coordinators and course directors on the ATLS® (trauma management) and/or CCrISP® (care for surgical patients) courses across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Nurse coordinators are employed by RACS on a casual basis, with each ATLS® and CCrISP® course supported by 2 nurse coordinators.
Role overview
The role of the EMST co-ordinator is essential for the successful conduct of each course. EMST co-ordinators usually have a background in nursing and trauma, and have an interest in education.
If you are a highly organised person who is passionate about trauma, consider becoming an EMST co-ordinator. The co-ordinator works closely with the course director, and is responsible for organising the course, pre-course planning and post-course summation.
