RACS submitted to the DFAT Foreign Policy White Paper supporting access to safe and affordable surgical and anaesthesia care highlighting its importance for Australia’s Foreign Policy because it promotes health and wellbeing, and thus economic growth.
RACS also submitted jointly with other medical colleges, emphasising that health among Australia's geographical neighbours should be regarded as a key component in Australia's foreign policy due to the burden of global disease and shifting disease patterns.
