RACS commended the AFL for consulting with the AFL Doctors Association regarding player safety and appreciated the changes made to the interpretation of 'dangerous tackle' in the AFL Laws.
RACS is thankful that the 'sling tackle' has been prohibited and anticipates abolition of the 'sling tackle', and expect severe penalties to be issued to delinquent players guilty of the offence of 'sling tackle'.
