The Surgical Workforce Census takes place biennially to inform advocacy and workforce planning.  Key data collected includes work patterns (employment status, hours worked, private/ public mix), characteristics of the rural and regional workforce, wellbeing and future work intentions including retirement.

Fellows who live in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand will receive an invitation to complete the census using your email address registered with RACS.  Look out for your invitation via your inbox in mid November.

Your participation is vital to help shape the future of surgery.

Visit Workforce and Activities Reports to access previous census results and contact the Fellowship Services Department at workforce@surgeons.org for further information.
