RACS will increase fees associated with surgical education and training.
The surgical education and training (SET) training fees, exam fees and course fees have not been adjusted to accurately reflect the increased costs of running the program. Despite the increase, our training fees remain highly competitive compared to other postgraduate training fees in both Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
We are taking proactive measures to ensure compliance and financial sustainability to meet the requirements of the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ). We have begun a consultation process with stakeholders and are dedicated to maintaining the high standards of surgical education and training.
