In collaboration with the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI), RACS hosted the first international Golden Scalpel Games on Sunday. A total of five teams were present at the starting line; two from Thailand, two from Singapore and one from Australia.

The educational team-based competition saw the teams rotate through five stations every 30 minutes, where they were given the chance to showcase their skills and to collaborate with peers. Several RACS Councillors were also present to help mentor the young doctors and provide advice and feedback. In a closely fought race, the two Singapore teams came in first and second, with 'Singapore A' judged the winners.

The Games were a thoroughly enjoyable event conducted in an excellent spirit. For those who missed the Games, a special 'Showcase of the Golden Scalpel Games" will be held he Grand Ball Room B from 12.00pm to 12.30pm on Wednesday 8 May 2019.
