In line with the recommendation approved at the recent RACS Annual General Meeting (May 2018), steps have been taken to change from Ernst & Young to PKF as the independent auditor of the RACS annual financial and statutory accounts.
This decision to change is reflective of best practice, where it is considered prudent to regularly change auditors to ensure that there is always a fresh set of eyes being applied to these reviews. After an extensive selection process, PKF were identified as the firm that offered an experienced team, new ideas and value for money.
Council and the Risk Management and Audit Committee remain appreciative of the work of the Ernst & Young team over the years. We also welcome the PKF firm to the RACS environment.
